Students with Language Learning Disorders (LLD) have trouble with reading, writing, spelling, and math. But there are often difficulties that extend beyond the classroom as poor school performance leads to low self-esteem and behavioral problems. As such, a Biopsychosocial approach is essential when assessing and treating LLD. The professionals at The Tarnow Center look at the influences of executive function and self-regulation, along with a student's language processes in order to better understand what contributes to someone's academic and/or social struggles.
