Deanna Michelle Barnett is a Licensed Professional Counselor who recently moved to Houston and joined the Tarnow Center after working in a variety of clinical settings in the United States and Germany. Michelle received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi where she graduated with highest honors. She went on to complete her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology. Michelle focused her graduate training experience on functional behavioral assessment and behavior intervention design and implementation in school settings. She also served as the Program Coordinator for Campus Advocates Against Sexual Violence.
Michelle has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and their families in a variety of settings including clinics, hospitals, home and schools. She relies on a variety of techniques that are tailored to the specific needs of the client and include both individual, family and group sessions.
