The Attention Deficit Disorders Association Southern Region (ADDA-SR) is sponsoring their 28th Annual ADDA-SR Conference. This event will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the DoubleTree Airport Hotel in Houston, TX.

 

 

This conference is being offered to educate adults, parents, educators, mental health professionals and the general public about ADHD. This widespread, little understood disorder impacts the lives of many individuals, both children and adults, and those around them. Continuing education credits will be available for educators, psychologists, social workers, LPCs, LMFTs and others. Discounts are available for groups. A limited number of scholarships covering registration and hotel are available for individuals or families coping with ADHD.

 

 

The general session speaker, Earl J. Soileau, M.D., works with ADHD, autism, and other co-occurring conditions at the LSU Health Sciences/Memorial Clinic in Lake Charles, LA. He is a frequent speaker and author of several academic book chapters related to addressing current trends in ADHD. International presenter and author Chris Zeigler Dendy, M.S. will present on young adults and behavior. Over twenty breakout sessions will cover a wide variety of topics including behavior management, life skills, treatment, educational laws, co-occurring conditions and classroom strategies.

  • 1:15pm - 2:15pm - Part 2 - New Technologies to Select Medications for ADHD and Related Disorders, by Jay Tarnow, MD
