Signs that a person may experience cognitive decline in late adulthood could be evident much earlier in life, according to a report presented this month at the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology annual conference.

In developed countries, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and other conditions related to significant cognitive decline or neurodegenerative disorders are becoming major causes of disability in the elderly, according to the researchers from the University of California San Francisco.
