Certified PsychotherapistElaine Frankel, L.M.S.W., A.C.P.-P.R., is a Certified Psychotherapist, Psychoanalyst, and an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Social Work. Before joining the Tarnow Center for Self-Management, Ms. Frankel spent ten years in private practice in New York City. Her specialty in individual psychotherapy with adolescents and adults is psychoanalytically oriented. She has supervised other professionals in the theory and practice of psychotherapy. Ms. Frankel is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine. Additionally, she was a lecturer with Children Cope, an organization developed to assist parents in helping their children adjust to the changes resulting from divorce. Ms. Frankel is a member of Resolve, a national organization serving the needs of infertile people; Infertility Network, and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Her special interests include: Secondary Infertility, Infertility and its Effect on the Relationship, and Older Women Attempting Pregnancy. |
Eleonora Bass, PsyD has had an incredibly interesting and diverse life, education, and career. . .
She is interested in supporting individual growth by focusing on strengths, skill building, and insight through culturally competent therapy and assessment in multiple languages (English, Spanish, and Russian). Dr. Bass has had therapy and assessment/testing experience with all age groups and has done clinical work in Massachusetts, Costa Rica, Israel, and Ecuador. Mood disorders, learning disabilities, multicultural issues, and trauma have been particular areas of interest to her. In terms of theoretical orientations, she is drawn to humanistic, existential, cultural-relational, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, narrative, and integrating Eastern approaches like mindfulness and meditation.
In her blossoming career as a psychologist, she has worked at a day treatment center for adult patients struggling with addictions and psychiatric problems, doing group therapy and crisis intervention. She has also worked in a therapeutic school for elementary and middle school aged children doing play therapy, social skills groups, and learning disability evaluations/assessments, particularly enjoying the symbolic, creative, and indirect communication involved in that work. She completed her APA-accredited internship at Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC), north of Boston, where she worked with a multicultural population of all ages, had assessment opportunities through the Brenner Center for psychological testing, did therapy in all modalities, and was exposed to almost every diagnosis listed in the ever changing Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). At LCHC, she led a Spanish-speaking cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) group for anxiety/depression, did individual therapy in English/Russian/Spanish with adults 21+, and conducted psychological evaluations. Her international clinical experiences in Costa Rica and Ecuador included doing psychological evaluations and therapy in Spanish with children and adults in a school, university, and hospital setting, and receiving training in rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), relaxation techniques, and hypnosis. In Israel, she led an educational and support group for generational trauma for young adults of Jewish decent.
She received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, her Master of Arts (MA) degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College, and her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D) degree in Clinical Psychology from William James College (formerly known as Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology). Dr. Bass is provisionally licensed in the State of Texas.

Elizabeth Wilkins, LMFT-S, BCN, BCB works as a psychotherapist at the Tarnow Center for Self-Management offering individual, couples, and family therapy. Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Baylor University and her Master of Arts degree in family therapy from the University of Houston - Clear Lake.
Utilizing a relational and biopsychosocial approach, Elizabeth focused her graduate training on work with individuals, couples, and families affected by anxiety disorders and PTSD. She received her clinical training at both the University of Houston - Clear Lake's Psychological Services Clinic as well as Family Services of Greater Houston. In addition, she has experience working with children and adolescents in a variety of school settings.
Recognizing the integral connection between mind and body, Elizabeth has focused her post-graduate training on anxiety and trauma, becoming master certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) as well as BCIA board certified in both neurofeedback and biofeedback. In addition to her interest in working with anxiety and trauma, she also works with couples and families experiencing marital or relational difficulties.
Of special interest to Elizabeth is helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the relational changes that occur during and after undergoing neurofeedback therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
Elizabeth is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the Houston Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the Biofeedback Society of Texas, International Society of Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and International Society for Neurofeedback and Research.
Lizzy received a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, a MsEd in literacy intervetion from SUNY Potsdam, a MsEd in educational administration from Missouri State University, and her diagnostician certification from Lamar University. Lizzy is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational psychology and a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst Certification at Texas A&M University where she is a part of a grant through the US Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Programs, researching special educator preparation and the academic achievement of students with disabilities.
Lizzy hold’s licenses in multiple states as a school administrator, reading specialist, special education teacher, English-Language Learner teacher, and educational diagnostician. Lizzy has been a part of hundreds of ARD committees, written and implemented hundreds of IEPs, and been a part of the IEP process as a teacher, administrator, evaluator, and parent. She has extensive knowledge and training in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and special education compliance as a whole. Lizzy has also specialized in instructional strategies for students with exceptional needs, interventions for struggling readers, special education administration, and the evaluation and educational planning process for exceptional learners.
Her background and passion offer a deeper insight into the evaluation process, the needs of the client, and the importance of a strong partnership between the Tarnow Center, the school, and the family.
Dr. Ebner is a licensed psychologist who uses evidence-based theories of thinking, learning, and feeling to guide treatment. With compassion, humor, honesty, and directness, Dr. Ebner seeks to help clients gain clarity, acceptance, and choice to make meaningful changes in their lives. Dr. Ebner uses a collaborative approach in which he seeks to empower his clients, and help them understand their lives in new and meaningful ways.
Dr. Ebner utilizes an eclectic approach to treatment based on Cognitive-behavioral theories. He has formal training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and various family systems models.
Dr. Ebner received his Doctorate in Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology, where he was originally trained in neuropsychology. After practicing therapy, Dr. Ebner pivoted his focus to working with outpatient clients who struggle with various forms of psychopathology. Dr. Ebner sees children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples.
